Last Tuesday I had the opportunity to attend the FedEx Its a Wrap Party, courtesy of MomCentral and FedEx Office. This was held in Dallas and I was able to meet several DFW area bloggers there. I ♥ networking. :-) Some of the other attendees were:

Ayson - 3 P's in a Pod
Angie - Wylie Mom
Brandy & her daughter Morgan - Not So Average Mama & Not So Average Kid
Lea Ann - Mommys Wish List
Dwan - Momma D Jane
Susan - Craving the Savings
Courtney - Homemaker Hero
Laura & Courtney - My DFW Mommy
Brenda - Mejorando Mi Hogar
Roraima - Mama Contemporanea

Be sure to check them out, these are some truly fabulous ladies!

To be honest, I'd never used FedEx to ship anything. I'd only used the USPS to ship my packages. I dont really know why. Maybe I thought FedEx was too pricey? I dunno. While at the Its a Wrap party, I learned SO much! We were shown how to properly pack and wrap items to protect them. Wow, guess I've just been lucky my items even arrived in one piece in the past! lol But now I know the proper way to protect things when shipping. I also learned that FedEx wasnt the pricey shipping option I thought it was. They are actually quite reasonable. (10% cheaper than UPS in fact!) And if you ever need to make sure an item arrives next day, FedEx is the way to go. If you sign up for a free account at fedex.com, you'll save up to 16% off Express service and up to 8% on their ground service.

In fact, after using my fancy new packing skills on the adorable little festive bear below, I was allowed to ship him overnight (compliments of FedEx Office) to Matt's Granny in Louisiana. It arrived the very next day as promised! And Granny was so excited! She had never in her life received a package from FedEx and she didnt know what to think. She didnt know if she should open it then or wait until Christmas. Then she was shaking it and listening to see if she could figure out what was inside. And she even busted out her magnifying glass to read who it was from. (Apparently Granny's eyes are bad, cause I addressed it to her and I write very big and bubbly!) Made for a great story, lemme tell ya! And it just made her day. :-)

Something else I didnt know: FedEx Office is more than just shipping, who knew, really?!! They also make custom invitations, photo prints on canvas, personalized calendars and so many more personal products. I'm sharing this with you because I am sure there have to be others out there like me who had no idea what all they offer. And now they've even created a blog full of creative ideas and projects for everyday life. Be sure to visit it at Out of Office, it will inspire you to make some really neat stuff. Plus there are some really adorable shots of cute little babies and pets too that'll make you say AWWWW!

I wrote this review after attending an event on behalf of FedEx Office. I received a holiday food item and complimentary FedEx shipping for it to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central gave me personalized note cards and a store credit to thank me for taking the time to participate.
